The InterviewIf you agree to be interviewed, it will involve a relaxed conversation with a professional interviewer, who will guide you through a conversation about your experiences with HIV. Your level of participation and how much you share with us is always up to you, and your details and identity will never be linked with your answers. The interview can take up to about an hour, and all interviews are recorded, then transcribed. No names, locations, or other identifying details will be left in the transcript or recorded in the interview. We are interviewing in all funded states and territories. You are invited to meet at our offices, or we can come to you. As long as the location is convenient and private, we’re happy to accommodate your schedule and location. Men who became infected with HIV through sex with another man can register their contact details for an interview here. These details will not be linked in any way to your confidential answers in the online portion of the survey. One of our professional interviewers will be in touch to arrange a suitable time and place to conduct the interview. Women and heterosexual men who wish to participate in the Seroconversion Study can volunteer to take part in a face-to-face interview. These interviews are conducted through the National Centre in HIV Social Research (NCHSR) by Asha Persson, who has many years experience in conducting research with women and heterosexual men living with HIV, including the Straightpoz study. For more information or to organise an interview, please contact Asha Persson on 02 9385 6414 or by emailing a.persson@unsw.edu.au |
